Know your Car

Most of us drive cars but there is just a hand full of us who actually know how to treat our cars and even fewer who can name the different parts of our cars. What happens when we get stuck on the road? We abuse, curse and try to get a mechanic as fast as we can. As much as we love our cars, we get downright frustrated when they don’t operate as they are meant to but do we take actually care of them?
A lot of us don’t even send in our cars to car washes. We rarely service them and yes our motto remains “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”. Unfortunately that isn’t going to get us too far. We need to know what our car needs. Learn about your car. If you think you have trouble with your wheels, go get your steering rack checked. You had a flat tire, go get it checked and see if it’s okay to use the same tire. Your car is making noise, go get it checked immediately. In fact make sure you give your car out for regular servicing. Have your steering gearbox, your wheels, your carburettor, your tank etc checked. It is always better to make sure everything is fine whether it is your steering box or you gas tank.
