The Nanny Camera factor

Although many parents find comfort in knowing their children are visibly safe while they are away, nanny cameras have their disadvantages, too. Most baby-sitters are not averse to the idea of a nanny camera watching them. Polls suggest that baby-sitters prefer that parents be more open about it and not conceal the fact that they are being watched.

In choosing a nanny camera, decide where the camera is to be installed. Depending on the lighting, etc in that area you can choose the appropriate camera for that area. There are many different kinds available ranging from $100 to more sophisticated ones for over $1500. Different types include nanny cameras in a wall clock, a houseplant with a hidden camera, or a camera in a stuffed toy. These would be a natural choice for a home.

The nanny camera you purchase should offer you versatility in case you would like to change its position later on. Check for warranty and after sales services. Most cameras come with a six month warranty. A helpful choice would be one which has night vision capability (infrared and LED) to record in the dark as well.

Nanny cameras also serve as a home surveillance system.
